Dave's Review
MotoSAT
Executive
Long awaited and now
available for Dish Network and Bell Express Vu multi satellite customers.
MotoSAT has once again broken the barrier of coming out with
new products that have been long awaited.
MotoSAT
Is still the
leader in the open face antenna market. Unlike lower cost
units, this antenna is well proven with the ability to stay
locked onto the satellite in winds up to 40 mph.
Now pointing the antenna is as simple as hitting one button.
Hit the Search button and the antenna will automatically
deploy, find the right satellite and allows you to toggle to
the next satellite when desired. When you are ready to go hit the 2nd
button (stow) and within minutes your ready to go. This
antenna will work with all Dish or DirecTV receivers.
The new Nomad II controller is programmed from the front
switches which
you will preset for the satellites of your choice. The unit
can be programmed for Dish 119,110 and if desired the
addition of 61.5 or 148 while DirecTV's 101 and the 119
satellite. The Nomad
controller will take over controller of the antenna using
its own power source to locate the satellite. Once the
satellite is located a relay with close enabling your
receiver. Software update as they come available can be
downloaded from MotoSats website and easily flashed when
changes need to be made (flash cable available separately or
a returnable flash module available.
The Executive with the new Nomad II controller uses a separate
control box that is located anywhere you want. The consumer
will turn on the power on the front of the controller and hit
the search button. At that time the
controller will tell the antenna to go up to a predetermined
look angle and starts the search. Once a satellite is
located the controller will start its identification of the
satellite it is looking at. If it is not the right satellite
the antenna will continue its search until the right one is
found. The antenna will continue to
fine tune onto the satellite for another minute. When you
are ready to go hit the stow button and the antenna will
stow and you will be on your way.
Oh, by the way this is the antenna that glows
BLUE
at night, so you can have fun with people when they ask why
it glows. |
